Finally I decided to start blogging in my spare time, I have been thinking about it for a long time, however I was always convincing my self that I don’t have time for that, I can use my time more efficiently, why should I sit there in the late nights writing stuff that someone may or may not read? and guess what… I was completely wrong, writing is something great, its nice to transform what is running in your brain to something you can share with others, isn’t this the whole point of communication?
My name is Omar and I currently work as a software consultant in Italy, I moved to italy after finishing 5 years of electrical and computer engineering in Palestine Polytechnic University, for those of you who don’t know where is Palestine – Yes it was a country name not something to eat – and don’t have anything better to do read here.
What will you find in this site? good question, I don’t know, for now I will be putting my curriculum, and write on the blog. this is the whole idea of this website BLOGGING. I will be blogging about anything running in my head, problems I manage to solve, problems I don’t manage to solve, and those weird ideas that run in my head.
Why you don’t build your own website?
why should I start building something from zero, find someone that will host my website, and pay extra money, when WordPress is offering me something free? this is one of the greatest things I learned as a software developer reuse reuse reuse and to follow the DRY principle (Dont’ Repeat Yourself). What I want is a blog and this is what I got. just don’t reinvent the wheel if its not necessary, of course there will be many limitations, and WordPress will try to suck some bucks from my account for some feature they think is very cool, but believe me for my posts i just need plain text and hyperlinks, and some images and this is completely free so I can live with it for now.
